Windfall Cider Fest and Bluegrass
Volunteer tracking
In 2018:
Planning meetings -once a week through June, July, August, September and October, 20 meetings, 2
hours, 3 people (usually)= 120 hours
Outside of meetings, additional time:
Concession/security lead: 26 hrs
Promotion/booth/outreach: 44 hrs
Website/tickets, cider wrangler, facebook, graphics : 120 hrs
Total prep volunteers: 410 hours
Event volunteers: we have thirty, four hour shifts scheduled for students and community members, plus
an estimated additional 40 hours over the three days ( set up day, event day, clean up day) that will be
handled by KEEN board members in supervisory capacity. This totals another 160 hours
Total volunteer hours in 2018: 570
For the 2019 estimate we are going to hold to the same amount of time and expect more attention will
be needed during the three day event itself, and fewer volunteers will be needed for planning and
preparation.
With the event expanding and adding elements we expect some parts of it to take longer. But a lot of
research was done for 2018 so some aspects will go faster in 2019. Updates and re-contacting will not
take as long as building from scratch.
