•The entire structure is prefabricated steel,including the porch. <br />•Bullding footings are concrete with ties under the arena floor. <br />•Roofing and siding materials are metal. <br />Providing shade and weather protectlon for both participants and spectators will not only <br />enhance the user experience,it will also expand the Horse Park's calendar by affording more <br />months of operation and attracting more diversified equine activities,especially "A"rated <br />equestrian competitions,thereby Increasing revenues and visltor volumes.Currently these <br />activities are hosted at fairgrounds and private venues across the State with covered or indoor <br />arenas.Many equestrian event organizers have expressed their strong Interest in holding large <br />shows at more modern and conducive facilities as the Park represents. <br />Below Is an artist's rendering of the planned covered arena without the screens down.The <br />arena is intended to be a bright and airy structure that will be inviting for horses and riders,and <br />preserve the sense of place of the Park's woodland setting. <br />The land where the covered arena will be built is currently lightly wooded,surrounded by <br />graveled parking and roadways,and has utilities (water,electric and sewer)adjacent to it. <br />There are no impediments to moving forward with the project once funding is secured. <br />2.Kittitas County Tourism Infrastructure Plan:Please explain how the project meets the <br />Goals and Actions In the Kittitas County Tourism Infrastructure Plan as adopted.Also, <br />describe the specific county tourism Infrastructure needs the project addresses and how <br />the project directly increases tourism.Explain how the Improvements will promote <br />tourism In Kittitas County and Indicate specifically how the Improvements will directly <br />increase economic activity resulting from tourlsts, <br />4
