BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR'S SIGNATURE ON THE' <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SCJ ALLIANCE FOR DESIGN OF <br />THE REECER CREEK ROAD/UNIVERSITY WAY TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br />WHEREAS: Public Works (PW) solicited for qualified traffic signal engineers in spring of <br />2019 pursuant to state and federal procurement regulations; and <br />WHEREAS: PW, with support from City of Ellensburg traffic signal staff, reviewed responses <br />from qualified engineering firms and selected to negotiate scope of work and fee <br />with SCJ Alliance; and <br />WHEREAS: Negotiations are finalizing for scope of work and fee and it appears that SCJ <br />Alliance and PW are now ready to formalize a professional services agreement for <br />traffic signal design services; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Public Works Director to sign the <br />professional services agreement with SCJ Alliance for design of the Reecer Creek <br />Road/University Way traffic signal for an amount not to exceed $129,750.00. <br />DATED this 2nd day of July, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
