KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 2, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution authorizing Chair <br />Signature on a Quit Claim Deed to the City of Cie <br />Elum for Parcel #693835 <br />BACKGROUND: In March 2019, the City of Cie Elum solicited Public <br />Works on the acquisition of Parcel #693835 for future <br />development of a dog park. Public Works has no need <br />to maintain ownership of said parcel. <br />Public Works previously briefed the Board on the <br />request and acquired legal opinion supporting the <br />transfer. <br />Per RCW 39.33.060 provides for transfer of property <br />for use for park and recreational purposes. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution authorizing Chair Signature <br />on a Quit Claim Deed to the City of Cie Elum for <br />Parcel #693835 <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Quit Claim Deed <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
