EXHIBIT C <br />OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Officer/Deputy Qualifications: AGENCY agrees to utilize officers/deputies with law <br />enforcement certificates from the Criminal Justice Training Commission that authorize them to <br />enforce all boating laws and regulations. Officers/deputies who have completed equivalent <br />training may be approved by the STATE PARKS Director or designee. <br />Officer/Deputy Training Required: AGENCY agrees to ensure that all officers/ deputies <br />involved in the recreational boating safety program attend the Washington State Basic Marine <br />Law Enforcement Training course. STATE PARKS agrees to provide this training at no charge <br />to AGENCY. Only officers/deputies that have attended this training will be considered trained. <br />Officers/deputies may attend an alternative and equivalent course with prior written STATE <br />PARKS approval. <br />New Programs, Officers/Deputies, Must Acquire Training Within One Year: AGENCY <br />agrees to acquire required training for officers/deputies within one year of becoming an <br />approved program, and within one year for each newly assigned boating safety officer/deputy. <br />Training Currency: AGENCY must submit a BOAT Currency Requirements Report Web Form <br />for all active personnel listed on the roster submitted with the A-299 Web Form by October 15 <br />each year. These reports must be submitted at least annually but may be updated throughout <br />the year. If AGENCY feels that they will be unable to complete all training tasks required, it shall <br />submit a statement of explanation to the Marine Law Enforcement Coordinator. <br />Document Additional Training: AGENCY agrees to list on the A-299 form any additional <br />training courses its personnel have completed . <br />. <br />Vessels and Equipment: AGENCY agrees to acquire and make available the necessary <br />boating safety patrol equipment, including vessels capable of serving the minimum <br />requirements outlined in this agreement. Patrol vessels must be properly marked and properly <br />equipped as provided in chapter 88.02 RCW and chapter 352-60 WAC. <br />Vessel, Aircraft, Vehicle and Equipment Inventory Required: AGENCY agrees to SL!PPIY <br />STATE PARKS with an inventory of all vessels, aircraft, vehicles, and equipment utilized in the <br />recreational boating safety missions along with details of how they are equipped each year in <br />the A-299 web form. <br />Updated 11/30/2017 Page 9 of 24
