Commu i ty membe rs, a.:g ency partners, work groups, the backbone <br />organization, t 1-e Lea dership Co uncll. and the Board of Directors wi ll engage in bidirectional public will, <br />execution, action planning, governance, vision, and strategy (i .e., in forma :on will flow both from the <br />top down and from the bottom up .) <br />Network members will participate at one of the following levels: <br />• Beard cf Directors: comprised of cross-sector agency leadersh i p (top level) representative of the <br />relevant ecosystem that provides high-level strategic direction for the Network and champions <br />its worl<. <br />• Leadership Council: comprised of cro5s-sector agenC'/ representatives and community members <br />who are highly engag:d in leading community health improver.ient activities . <br />• Work Groups & Task Forces: sub-groups reporting to the leadership Council that plan and <br />implement strategies , engagi: communitv members, and track progress towards goals. Members <br />are often relevant subject matter or community experts. <br />Board of Directors Role: <br />Provide high-leve l strategic direction, financial oversight, and policy governance. Review and approve <br />organization's mission and purpose, policies, out::cmes, programs, serv ices, and financial contro ls and <br />health. Create a well-defined structure of effective Board committees with dear purposes and tasks. <br />Define and appl, Articles of lncorpora ion and By-Laws . Se lect and eva luate the Execu tive Director. <br />Approval of all co ntracts and pol icies . Consis,2ntly see k sustain ab ility an d viability of t he organization. <br />SuMport implementa tion of t he Strate gic Pla n as ou l ined In the Commu nity Health lmproyement Plan. <br />Leadership Council Role: <br />Reports to the Board of Directors. Acts a s a perm anent ad 1Jisory bod 'I t hrough re present a ion by thre e <br />designated and accepted non-voting members to the Bo ard . Implement KCHN Strategy . Represent he <br />community i n ach i ev i ng the 'KCHN miss io n. Identify and recruit broad bare of commu n i ty members <br />Inclu ding a signifi ca nt number external to medical/behavioral/social service pro•,iders. O~velop supp er <br />and buy in from diverse community s-ectors. Implement Community Enga gement Plan . Implement <br />Communie a Ions Plan . Assess sus ~ai na bllity a11d v iabil ity. lead vision and strategy deve lopme n t. <br />Information sharing, communlty engagement and participation on work groups and task forces. Advise <br />Board on trends and issues impacti ng he alt h care. Implement Board directives on programs and services. <br />Work Groups and Task Forces Role: <br />Work gr oups and tas:C forces will be cre,1ted and d is solved by the Leadership Council and will report <br />progress regu la rl y o th!!
