DATE:
Kittitas County Solid Waste Programs
925 Industrial Way, Ellensburg, WA 98926
Telephone: (509) 962-7542
Fax: (509) 962-7087
TO: Kittitas County Commissioners Office
FROM Bryan Nass
RE: Event Application — RSVP Manastash Metric bike ride
The Solid Waste Programs department is satisfied with the applicants' proposed handling of
solid waste (garbage, recyclables), as per below.
I previously reviewed the draft application on April 11 at the request of the applicant and found it
satisfactory. I followed up with a phone call to Carol, to indicate my preference in the future to
review garbage and recycling plans as part of the whole application and during the Counties'
standard review time line. Further, I indicated that a pre -review increases the total time that I
have to spend on a review because I have to re -review the plan to ensure nothing has changed.
I understand Carol is trying to be proactive in the process, but that approach is not my
preference.
