BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />ORDINANCE No. 2019 - <br />THE PLACEMENT OF A STOP SIGNS AT UMPTANUM ROAD AND AMENDING SECTION <br />10.12.10 OF THE KITTITAS COUNTY CODE <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners manages stop sign and yield sign <br />placements in Kittitas County pursuant to Kittitas County Code 10.12.010; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Engineer has determined that placing stop signs at the intersections of <br />Umptanum Road and Manastash Road and at Umptanum Road and Riverbottom Road is in <br />the best interest of public safety; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of Kittitas County Commissioners did hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March <br />19th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. to hear public testimony regarding the placement of stop signs on <br />Umptanum Road at Manastash Road and at Riverbottom Road. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED That the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners, after <br />due deliberation and in the best interest of the public, does hereby place stop signs on Umptanum Road at <br />Manastash Road and at Riverbottom Road and amend Kittitas County Code Section 10.12.10 as indicated in <br />Exhibit A. <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED That this ordinance will become effective upon the installation of the stop <br />sign. <br />ADOPTED this 19th day of March, 2019. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
