BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATF ()F \UA CTL-T1RkTGTnk <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - <br />AWARD UPPER COUNTY TRAFFIC TASK FORCE MODELING SERVICES TO <br />FEHR & PEERS AND AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO <br />NEGOTIATE SCOPE OF WORK AND FEE NOT TO EXCEED $50,000 <br />WHEREAS: The Upper County Traffic Task Force (UCTTF) requested Public Works <br />Department seek out traffic modeling consultants for I-90 traffic modeling; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners directed Public Works advertise for <br />professional planning services by issuing a Request for Qualifications in the local <br />paper of record on February 5, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS: One (1) qualified firm responded to the request for qualifications process closing <br />on February 21, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS: A review committee of Public Works evaluated the proposal and reviewers have <br />selected Fehr & Peers as the preferred firm providing UCTTF traffic modeling <br />services; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby direct the Director of Public Works to negotiate a scope <br />of work and fee not to exceed $50,000 with Fehr & Peers to conduct Upper County Traffic Task <br />Force traffic modeling services and authorizes signature of the Director of Public Works on said <br />professional services contract providing an acceptable scope of work and fee is successfully <br />negotiated. <br />DATED this 5a' day of March, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
