KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: March 5, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a Resolution for the Review <br />and Approval of 2019 ER&R rental rates for Kittitas <br />County Public Works <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works in <br />agreement with RCW 36.33A.010 has established <br />by resolution an equipment rental and revolving <br />fund to be used for the purchase, maintenance, and <br />repair of the county road department equipment <br />and for the purchase of equipment, materials, <br />supplies, and services required in the <br />administration and operation of this fund. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />moved to monthly rental rates per individual piece <br />of equipment per Resolution 2018-086. <br />The County Engineer has further simplified the <br />monthly rental rates by setting the rates by class of <br />equipment rather than by individual piece. The <br />rates set cover the maintenance of the class of <br />equipment plus cost of administration and <br />operations including fuel. <br />Per RCW 36.33A.040 the rates shall be determined <br />by the County Engineer and shall be subject to <br />annual review by the legislative body. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution for the Review and <br />Approval the 2019 ER&R rental rates for Kittitas <br />County Public Works. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
