(For example, if there was a survey conducted for the prior year, explain the methodology. For the projections,
what are they based upon and how is that basis justified?)
Prior Year Paid As mentioned before, determining overnight stays in extremely difficult in Roslyn
Overnight's Stay since we have very few overnight options in town - a few vacation rentals, one bed
Response* and breakfast and a four-bedroom inn.
What we do is look at the number of people who come to the Framers Market (an
average of 3,300 adults) and estimate that at least half of those people came from
a distance away. Roslyn only has 890 inhabitants - including children. So of those
1,650 it is logical to speculate that at least 400 people (whoa re couples) stayed
the night in Cie Elum or in one of the many campgrounds.
We would like to be more specific. n our 2017 grant application, RTown requested
$1,000 in funds to purchase or lease tools that would allow us to calculate tourist
visits, especially those who stayed overnight. Commissioner Jewell declined that
budget item because the county intended to purchase or develop a tool to
measure visitors related to tourism. He said that would be available to RTown for
the Art Festival. A survey tool from the County has not yet become available, but
such a tool would be very useful.
2500 character limit.
Prior Year Paid In addition to field above, you rray upload the evidence to support the prior years' roomnight infornation.
Overnight Stay Data You nay upload up to three single pages (US Letter), of information, If you a single rruftipage document, only the first
three pages will be considered.
