BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />Resolution No. ________________ <br /> <br />A Resolution Releasing Uncollectible Debt to the Solid Waste Fund <br /> <br />WHEREAS: It has come to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Kittitas County, Washington, that the County Solid Waste Department has an <br />uncollectible debt in the amount of $10,448.60 as shown on Exhibit “A”, attached hereto <br />and incorporated by reference, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Solid Waste Department has made every reasonable diligent effort to <br />collect said debt without success, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: It is in the best interest of the County to delete said bad debt from the <br />books of Kittitas County in order to an accurate measure of the County’s financial <br />position; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington is <br />authorized pursuant to RCW 36.32.120(8) to release any debt due to the County when the <br />interest of the County will not be prejudiced thereby; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington has <br />determined that it is in the best interest of the County and that the County’s interest will <br />not be prejudiced by release of the debt listed in Exhibit 1 attached hereto; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the debt listed in Exhibit 1 attached <br />hereto in the amount of $10,448.60 is hereby declared to be bad debt and hereby released <br />pursuant to RCW 36.32.120(8) effective on the date of signing. <br /> <br />DATED this _______ day of February, 2019. <br /> <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> _____________________________________ <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br /> _____________________________________ <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Vice Chairman <br /> _____________________________________ <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br />
