KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: February 5, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve County Road Project for the <br />installation of a signal at the intersection of <br />University Way and Reecer Creek Road. <br />BACKGROUND: University Way continues to see increased traffic <br />volumes. Consequently, vehicles turning onto <br />University Way from Reecer Creek Road have <br />increased wait times. There is also limited sight <br />distance at the intersection, creating an unsafe <br />condition for the traveling public. The County will <br />install a signal to decrease average wait time at the <br />intersection and improve safety. <br />INTERACTION: <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />HANDLING: <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Public Works <br />Approve the County Road Project for the <br />installation of a signal at the intersection of <br />University Way and Reecer Creek Road. <br />Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
