Kittitas County
Board of County Commissioners

AGENDA STAFF REPORT

Agenda Date: January 15, 2019

Action Requested: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Chairman’s
Signature on a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement

Background: On December 4, 2018 the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners
adopted Resolution 2018‐190 setting the 2019 county budget. That
budget included funding for a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement which
would renew enterprise licenses for Microsoft software. Licenses
currently used by the county will no longer be supported by Microsoft
in 2019 and 2020. The IT Committee reviewed options and
recommended the board enter into this agreement. In a regular
meeting on August 27, 2018, Mr. Goeben presented a staff report on
Microsoft licensing and recommended the board enter into a
Microsoft Enterprise Agreement for 2019‐2021. The board voted to
enter into the agreement and directed Mr. Goeben to prepare the
appropriate documents.

Interaction: Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (SR# 45157)

Recommendation: Sign the attached resolution and agreement documents.

Handling: Return 2 signed agreement copies to Jim Goeben.

Attachments: Resolution
Volume Licensing Program Signature Form
Volume Licensing Enterprise Enrollment
Enterprise Enrollment Product Selection Form
Volume Licensing Enterprise Sub 250 Program Amendment ID W29
CDW‐G Quote Confirmation

Lead Staff: Jim Goeben, IT Director
