ELLENSBURG SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 401 KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 01.10.18 CERTIFICATION OF 2019 EXCESS PROPERTY TAXES NOV -9 A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Ellensburg School District No. 401 , Kittitas County, Washington, certifying to the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District No. 105, the amount of excess property taxes to be levied in year 2018 and collected in year 2019 for the District's General Fund, Debt Service Fund and Capital Projects Fund; and providing for related matters. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ELLENSBURG SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 401, KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON, as follows: Section 1. F in din gs and D etenninations. The Board of Directors (the "Board") of Ellensburg School District No. 401, Kittitas County, Washington (the "District") takes note of the following facts and makes the following findings and determinations: (a) By Resolution No. 17.08.18, the Board adopted a budget for Fiscal Year 2018-19 (the "2018-19 Budget") that included certified General Fund educational programs and operation excess property taxes in the amount of $3,919,442 to be levied in 2018 and collected in 2019. The Board has determined that the amount of the District's General Fund educational programs and operation excess tax levy previously certified in the 2018-19 Budget of $3,919,442 should now be increased to $4 ,512 ,578. (b) The 2018-19 Budget also included certified Debt Service Fund excess property taxes to pay debt service on all of the District's outstanding unlimited tax general obligation bonds in the amount of $4,500,000 to be levied in 2018 and collected in 2019. ( c) The 2018-19 Budget further included certified Capital Projects Fund excess property taxes in the amount of $674,000 to be levied in 2018 and collected in 2019. Section 2. Certification of General Fund Excess Property Tax Levy. Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District No. 105, an excess property tax levy in the amount of $4,512,578 to be levied in calendar year 2018 and collected in calendar year 2019 for the District's General Fund. The Assessor of Kittitas County, Washington, is authorized and directed, without further Board action, to reduce the General Fund excess property tax levy amount to be extended upon the tax rolls and collected in calendar year 2019 to be consistent with the limitations imposed by RCW 84.52.0531. Section 3. Certification of Debt Service Fund Excess Property Tax Levy . Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District No. 105, an excess property tax levy in the amount of $4,500,000 to be levied in calendar year 2018 and collected in calendar year 2019 for the District's Debt Service Fund. 531 6645 43
