KITTITAS COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 2 RESOLUTION NUMBER 18-27 Certifying Property Tax Levy Beginning January 1, 2019 WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Assessor has notified the Commissioners of Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 of the assessed valuation of property lying within the boundaries of said district for the year 2019 is estimated at $3, 100,000.000.00 and; WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners of Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 has met and considered its budget for the calendar year 2019, and WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners of Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 had properly given notice of the public hearing held November 8, 2018 to consider the District's revenue sources and current expense budget for the 2019 calendar year, pursuant to RCW 84.55.120, and WHEREAS, on November 6, 2018, the voters of Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 authorized a levy lid rate increase to $1.50 per $1000 of assessed value; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 as follows: 1. That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners and the Kittitas County Assessor, be and is hereby requested to make a regular property tax levy for 2018, to be collected in 2019 for Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 in the amount of $4,900,000.00, plus new construction and any increase in state-assessed property. 2. That the Treasurer of Kittitas County, Washington be and is hereby authorized and directed to deposit and sequester the monies received from the collection of the tax levy specified in Section 1 above into the General (Current Expense) Fund of Kittitas County Fire District No. 2.
