State of Washington <br />Department of Corrections <br />Contract No. K9561 <br />Amendment No. 5 <br />Thi.s Arnuenidlim,emt to the above referenced Contract Number is made the Department of Corrections, <br />an agency of the state of Washington, hereinafter referred to as "Department'', and the Kittitas County, a political <br />subdivision of the state of Washington, hereinafter referred to as the County or the Contractor, for the purposes set <br />forth herein. <br />WHEREAS the purpose of this Contract Amendment is to extend the period of performance and amend the per diem <br />offender bed rate to reflect a 3% increase; <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the terms and conditions contained herein, or attached and incorporated and <br />made a part hereof, the Department and Contractor agree as follows: <br />The following-S ections are amended , in part. as foll ows: <br />Section 2.1 Term. This Agreement supersedes all previous oral and written contracts and agreements <br />between the parties relating to the confinement, care, and treatment of Department Offenders. This Contract <br />commences on January 1, 2016, and continues through ((Deeemeer 31, 2018)) December 31, 2020. unless <br />terminated by either party pursuant to this Agreement <br />Section 2.4 Per Diem Billing. The per diem rate is$ 63.65 per Department offender thro·ughDel::ember 31. <br />2018. m~ginrting:Januaey l. 2019 the per diem ·tale is $65.56 per DeparbnenLoffendc.r through D~ember 31. <br />201.9. Beginninffanuary 1, 2020, the per diem rate is $67.53 pet Department affender, through Oeg!mber 31. <br />2020.
