Kittitas County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br />Agenda Date: <br />January 2, 2019 <br /> <br />Action Requested: <br />Request the Board approve the 2018-2019 Lodging Tax Services Agreement between Kittitas County <br />and the City of Cle Elum for the Large Scale Municipality Owned Capital Project <br /> <br />Background: <br />The Lodging Tax Committee requested proposals for the Tourism-Related, Large-Scale <br />Municipality Owned Capital Projects which were due April 14, 2017. The Tourism Capital Large <br />Scale Project Grant Process includes a four step process see attached. <br /> <br />The City of Cle Elum – Washington State Horse Park project was approved by the Lodging tax <br />Technical Review Team and passed to the Board of County Commissioners for review and was <br />awarded $1,500,000 for their project. On October 22, 2018 the Board of County Commissioners <br />set a letter committing the $1,500,000 for the Large Scale Capital Project for the Washington <br />State Horse Park for the Covered Arena and Associated Build-Out. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Recommend the Board approve and sign the 2018-2019 Lodging Tax Services Agreement between <br />Kittitas County and the City of Cle Elum for the Large Scale Municipality Owned Capital Project <br /> <br />Handling <br /> Distribute Debbie Myers she will obtain City of Cle Elum’s signature <br /> <br />Lead Staff <br />Debbie Myers, Lodging Tax Board Clerk <br />Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager <br />
