KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: December 18, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Consider/acknowledge reappointments or NEW <br />appointments to the following County Boards, <br />Committee’s and Commissions: Airport Advisory <br />Committee; Fair Board; Kittitas County <br />Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee; <br />Public Lands Advisory Committee; County Law & <br />Justice Council; Board of Equalization and the TV <br />Dist. Board. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Currently the County has multiple vacancies on its <br />volunteer Boards, Committee’s and Commissions. <br /> Staff advertised in June of 2018 & September 2018 <br />for all upcoming and current vacancies. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Staff published notice of vacancies through the <br />County’s Press Release application which sends <br />notice to the Daily Record, the County website and <br />its subscribers as well as KXLE Radio. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Consider the Reappointments of Greg <br />Schwab, Keith Riexinger, Marlene Pfeifer, <br />and Steve Willard to the Kittitas County <br />Airport Advisory Board. Also acknowledge <br />the Chamber’s CEO recommendation to <br />have Brian Lenz in the role of ADO <br />Representative now instead of Ann <br />Anderson. These new 3 year terms would be <br />effective 1/1/2019 and expire 12/31/2021 for <br />Lenz, Willard, Riexinger, Schwab & Pfeifer. <br /> <br /> Consider the Reappointments of Roylene <br />Crawford; Gerald Lael; Kristina Paquette <br />and Jodee Shenyer (term ending <br />12/31/2018), for a 3 year term to the Kittitas <br />County Fair Board effective 1.1.2019 and to <br />expire 12/31/2021.
