The applicant is requesting approval of a <br />230kV, 27.6 mile transmission line to connect Pacific Power’s <br />Pomona Heights Substation in Yakima County to BPA’s Vantage <br />Substation in Grant County. <br />An EIS determination was issued for the Vantage to Pomona Heights <br />Transmission Line by the U.S. Department of Interior and the <br />Bureau of Land Management in October 2016. Pursuant to WAC <br />197-11-600(4) Kittitas County has determined no further <br />environmental review is required and hereby adopts the Vantage to <br />Pomona Heights Transmission Line EIS by reference for all <br />necessary permits related to the Vantage to Pomona Heights <br />project. <br />Anyone with an interest in this matter is urged to attend this noticed <br />hearing where testimony will be taken. Written Comments will be <br />received. Documents, including the adopted EIS, may be viewed at <br />https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/cds/land-use/default.aspx, under <br />Conditional Use Permits, or at Kittitas County Community <br />Development Services, 411 N. Ruby St. Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA <br />98926 prior to the hearing. Interested persons are encouraged to <br />verify date and time prior to attending.
