Recommendations will be made as to how <br />best to combine these elements in order for the horse park to best accomplish its <br />objectives. <br />Impact on Exlsting Equestrian Facilities -The Authority plans to create a complex <br />which will complement existing equestrian operations, seeking out· and satisfying <br />unmet market needs. It is expected that over the long run the operations (?f the <br />horse park will Increase Interest in equestrian events and activities throughout the <br />state and accordingly create additional business for existing operators. <br />Facillty Summary: <br />The vision of the horse park Is that of a primarily equ~strlan facility to be located on <br />property donfJted by Suncadfa Resorts, located Immediately off of 1-90, near Cle Elum. <br />For this public-private partnership, Suncadia Resorts has donated a 106 acre parcel of <br />land,,currently valued at approximately flve·million dollars. It is proposed that this land <br />be develope~ in two phases. The first is a planhing, preparation, and Initial site <br />development phase that entalls final planning, design, pennitting approvals, and initial <br />land improvements. A request of $3,900,000 will be made in 2007 to fund Phase I. <br />Phase U entails the construction of the remainder of the facility. Estimated costs for <br />Phase II is $15,434,600 in current dollars. The WSHP _Authority 'intends to request <br />these funds from the State legislature so that full projed build-out will be completed In <br />2019.
