Exhibit III <br />City of Cle Elum Comprehensive Land Use Plan 2006 <br />A. Active Parks <br />Washington SW, Horse Paris is a proposed 106 acre ~ucstrian facility located in the <br />Bullfrog Flats. The park is designed to be the premiere equeslrian facility in Washington <br />State drawing competitors. showman and tourists from the Greater Pacific Northwest and <br />the Canadian province of British Columbia. As a regional show and competition facility, <br />the horse park will accommodate large scale regional events such as the Arabian and <br />Quarter Horse Shows, The North American Young Riders program, Dressage and World <br />Cup Competitions, The facility is proposed to have a 200 by 300 foot covered arena, an <br />175 by 300 foot open arena, seating for over 1 ~000 spectators, a polo field, cross county <br />competition course, 400 stalls [located in 8.scparatc barns] and the required appurtenant <br />and support facilities to service the Horse Park. <br />Fta& Pole btk is a community park located bemieen the Cle Elum .,.wye" end the Coal <br />Mines TraiJhead. The park derives its name from the large American flag that has been <br />traditional!), flown here to welcome visitors to Cle Elum and as a reminder to iu residenti; <br />of Cle Elum 1s tmclition of duty and servioe to America. The park is an open lawn with <br />room ibr active and passive activities. <br />Centennial Park is a community park located north ofThird Street and nestled against a <br />wooded hillside. This park bas facilities for active recreation including; a marked end <br />goal posted football field, e. baseball/softball diamond and ample open lawn. <br />S)Yimmin1 fe>pl Pad£ is perhaps Cle Elum's most diverse community Park which is <br />locaied on the site of the old [now non..cxistcntJ community S\\1rruning pool. It includes a <br />&1ate .. of-the art skate board facility, play ground equipment, horseshoe games, a large <br />covered picnic shelter witlt tables and in ground barbeques, a large open lawn and is the <br />eastern "trail hcadH for the Cle Elwn Roslyn School oommunity Progress Path. <br />Flrepu1n's Park/ MemoriaJ Ball Field are actually two adjoining community parks <br />located in Cle Elum on the South Side of the Yakima River. Fireman's Park is home to a <br />large covered shejter; picnic tables, a wide open lawn and riverfront access. Memorial <br />Ball Field ls a 00JJIJ)etition youth baseba11 field complete wlth ooncessions, bleachers and <br />high quality baseball fields. <br />Suebrook Commuttx is a neighborhood park designed to serve as a community <br />meeting place and child's plly area.. The park is a small grassy area with a community <br />gazebo and barbeque area. <br />Fgur su,ens Agpstic Center The Pour Sl'aSOns Recreational board is examining the <br />possibility of constructing a community rcc~ation ~tcr behind the Cle Elum.Roslyn <br />School District campus. The centert expected to cost upward ofSl.5 million, may have <br />Washington State Hone Park Distressed County Sales and Use Tax Grant Application pg22/25
