Recommendations will be made as to how <br />best to combine these elements in order for the horse park to best accomplish its <br />objectives. <br />Impact on Fxdstina Equestrian Facilities - The Authority plans to create a complex <br />which will complement existing equestrian operations, seeking out -and satisfying <br />unmet market needs. It is expected that over the long run the operations of the <br />horse park will Increase interest in equestrian events and activities throughout the <br />state and accordingly create additional business for existing operators. <br />Facilfty_ Summary: <br />The vision of the horse park Is that of a primarily equestrian facility to be located on <br />property donated by Suncadia Resorts, located Immediately off of 1-90, near Cie Elum. <br />For this public-private partnership, Suncadia Resorts has donated a 106 acre parcel of <br />land, -currently valued at approximately fivee-million dollars. It is proposed that this land <br />be developed in two phases. The first is a planning. preparation, and Initial site <br />development phase that. entails final planning, design, permitting approvals, and initial <br />land Improvements. A request of $3,900,000 will be made in 2007 to fund Phase I. <br />Phase Il entails the construction of the remainder of the facility. Estirriated costs for <br />Phase It is $15,434,600 in current dollars. The WSHP Authority intends to request <br />these funds from the State legislature so that full project build -out will be completed in <br />2010. A detailed description of the facility and the funding -request is included as <br />Appendix 111. <br />13 <br />
