KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 4, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing for December 18, 2018 at <br />2pm local time to consider the Vacation of a Portion of the <br />Alley in Block 15 of South Addition — Roslyn, WA. <br />BACKGROUND: An adjoining property owner is requesting to vacate a <br />portion of the alley serving Block 15 of South Addition in <br />Roslyn, WA. Currently, the alley is serving Lots 1, 2, 18 <br />and 19 of the plat and the portion of the alley that is being <br />requested for vacation provides no parcel access and will <br />not impact the four lots in the area. The County Surveyor <br />is recommending a record of survey be filed to capture the <br />vacation if the vacation is approved since county road files <br />currently have no method to show alleys. The estimated <br />cost to file the survey is approximately one thousand <br />dollars ($1,000). <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for December 18, 2018 at 2pm local <br />time to consider the Vacation of a Portion of the Alley in <br />Block 15 of South Addition — Roslyn, WA. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) copy to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Public Works Director <br />
