In accordance wi,h EDA guidelines, annual reports detalllng progress achieved on economic <br />development activities wlfl be prepared. The yearly reports will effectively adjust the CEDS as <br />needed to antir.lpate new opportunities, address ne~ Issues, Identify new projects and <br />strategies and remove finished projects and strategies. <br />Since the CEDS is a living document, annual reports will provide details regarding the previous <br />year's efforts toward defined goals. key objectives wlll be tracked and "'next steps" wlll be <br />stated for the coming year. These proJected plans will continue to identify specific projects, <br />estimated costs and tlmeframes, funding mechanisms, responsible parties, and project <br />partners. <br />The following performance measures will be used to evaluate how well strategies and projects <br />are producing desired outcomes and Impacts for the Kittitas Yakima region. <br />GOAl ONE: Support the Retention and Expansion of <br />Rqlonal austers and Industries <br />• Number of new Jobs created <br />• Number of Jobs retained <br />• Increase In private investment <br />• Number of key companies receiving In-depth <br />counseling (4 or more hours) <br />• Number and $ value of key Industry/business <br />capital expansion projects <br />• Number and types of Federal and State <br />Investments secured to support specific duster or <br />Industry collaboratlve Initiatives <br />• $ loan capital packaged to support expandlns businesses <br />c $ value of tax credits secured to support expanding businesses <br />GOAL TWO: Support Small Business Success and Entrepreneurship <br />• Number of new ventures created <br />• Number of workshops offered for small business and entrepreneurs <br />" Number of small businesses receiving In-depth counseling (4 or more hours) <br />52
