Economic Development Element <br />GPO 10.9 Work in cooperation at the local and regional level to combine resources and build <br />consistency in economic development strategies. <br />10.4. Economic Strategies <br />The goals, which have been developed to guide future economic development in Kittitas County, <br />can be achieved by adoption of the previously stated policies and implementation of the following <br />strategies. While it is hard to predict what businesses may develop in the County, the goals, <br />policies, objectives and strategies aim to work together in order to help encourage economic <br />development. <br />Strategy 10.1A Identify an ideal mix of industrial and service sector businesses tbct will <br />maximize the flow of monks into the community and maximize its use through local support <br />businesses. <br />Strategy 10.2A Coordinate with the Economic Development Group and work with them in order <br />to develop and establish a recruitment list oftarget industries and businesses. <br />Strategy 10.213 Establish strong relationships for cooperation and collaboration with, and foster <br />commimication sarong the business community, economic development boards and local <br />government. <br />Strom 10.3A Develop an economic development vision and implementation strategy. <br />Strategy 10.3B Establish opportunities for commemoration and recognition of fanning and <br />ranching in the community. <br />Strategy 10.4 Determine what business types are needed that fit the character of the County. <br />Strategy 10.5A Development and upkeep of a website that includes resources to links <br />highlighting tourism and tourism based business and information. <br />Strategy 10.5E Support and establish regulations for tourism and tourist based businesses. <br />Strategy 10.6 Consider economic development in the processes of land use planning, <br />transportation planning, infrastructure planning and determination of Urban Growth Areas. <br />Strategy 10.7 Support and establish oppordmities for affordable housing, and establishment of a <br />balanced ratio of jobs to housing available in the County. <br />Strategy 10.8 Coordinate with the university to shape local economic development strategy. <br />StreAw 10.9A Develop intergovernmental cooperation for developing new activities. <br />Strategy 10.9E Coordinate with regional service providers. <br />Strategy 10.9C Coordinate and support activities and opportunities available through the <br />Economic Development Group. <br />KlKftas County December 2016 <br />Comprehensive Plan 104 <br />
