The action is necessary as we are beginning open solicitation <br />for the vacant County Road Engineer position vacated by Mr. Lucas Huck. We anticipate <br />advertising an initial 30 days before interviewing first round candidates. It is unlikely that we <br />will have an employee here until early December at the earliest. <br />During the past five months, our Engineering Services Manager (Ms. Sara Folk) has job <br />shadowed me in actions before the Board of County Commissioners. She has gained specific <br />County Road Engineer experience and we both believe the time has come to solicit the industry <br />for interested candidates. It is my expectation that Ms. Folk will apply for the vacant County <br />Road Engineer position.
