Board of County Commissioners has juris diction and power to represent the county and has care of the <br />county property, management, and business concerns. <br />Elected Officials <br />. Kittitas County Sheriff is an elected position that has responsibility of the enforcement of state and co unty <br />laws and statutes. . The Ellensburg , Cle Elum, and Roslyn city councils and mayors are elected to represent citizens of those <br />areas. . Responsible for developing and administering plans and regulations, including zoning and subdivision, <br />Kittitas County Community and Planning growth policy, regional plans, and land use code enforcement <br />Services . Responsible for fire life safety in Kittitas County administered through the Kittitas County Fire Marshal's <br />office <br />Fire Departments and Fire Districts . Responsible for community response and protection services for areas across Kittitas County . Nonprofit association with members from city, county, rura l, state, and federal agencies including fire <br />Kittitas County Fire Chiefs Association <br />departments and districts, Kittitas County Emergency Management DNR, USFS, and other Fire District <br />organizations . Coordinates fire prevention and resp o nse activities <br />Kittitas County Emergency Management . Coordinates emergency response components in the geographical area of Kittitas County <br />Kittitas County Health Department . Responsible for air quality monitoring . Responsible for personal property and engaging in community projects <br />Kittitas County residents, landowners, and . Community councils participate in planning process by facilitating communication between communities <br />community councils and local government. .
