KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 2, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to adopt the 2018 <br />Community Wildfire Protection Plan and Authorize the <br />Chair's Signature on the Adoption Page. <br />BACKGROUND: Recognizing the need to update the 2009 Community <br />Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) as part of the 2018 <br />Hazard Mitigation Plan update process, Public Works <br />entered into an agreement with Kittitas County <br />Conservation District for updating the CWPP ($20,000). <br />The update has included several outreach/revision efforts <br />and is now ready for Board of County Commission <br />consideration. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Adopt the 2018 CWPP <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Community Wildfire Protection Plan <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
