KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: September 4, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Chair's <br />Signature Accepting the Federal Aviation Administration's <br />Bowers Field Runway 7/25 Pavement Break Grant <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Recently, the Board accepted Washington State <br />Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Aviation Division <br />grant funding matching a pending Federal Aviation <br />Administration (FAA) grant. The grant supports costs <br />associated with breaking the intersecting runways at <br />Bowers Field. The FAA is now offering the grant in the <br />amount of $153,576. After WSDOT's project contribution, <br />the County's match obligation is $8,532. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chair's signature accepting the FAA Bowers <br />Field runway 7/25 pavement break grant. <br />HANDLING: <br />Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Exhibit 1: Resolution with grant agreement. <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Mark R.
