Kiuitas Co un ty Emergency Medica l Serv ices System (E MS ): Kittitas County Emergency <br />Medical Services (EMS) System will facilitate the county's transportation and pre hospital <br />medical needs. The system consists of 11 licensed EMS agencies (primarily local fire <br />departments) and 5 affiliated-level services . Coordination between licensed EMS agencies to <br />meet the local EMS needs will be facilitated through KITTCOM and based on the Regional <br />County Patient Care Operating Procedures and the Kittitas County Mass Casualty Incident Plan <br />(MCI Run Cards). These documents are part of the South Central Region Trauma Plan, <br />available through Kittitas County EMS . <br />Emer enc. Man a em enl: If a bioterrorism incident is suspected, KCPHD will make prompt <br />notification to the Kittitas County Sheriff as the Director of Emergency management for Kittitas <br />County. The Sheriff or his designee will direct the county EOC with the Health Officer assisting <br />with direction, control , and management of the emergency as appropriate . Emergency <br />Management will attempt to acquire the resources and supplies needed to respond to an incident <br />when local resources are exceeded. <br />Loca l. oun .ty, and State Law Enfo rcement: Local and county law enforcement, Search and <br />Rescue (SAR), and Fire District #1 will assist KVH and KCPHD with site security, perimeter <br />control, and facility access . In an evacuation of the hospital, local, county, and state law <br />enforcement agencies may be called upon to assist in the coordination of the evacuation. Should <br />the need for an alternate care facility (quarantine or mass vaccination, etc.) or mass dispensing <br />operations arise in Kittitas County, local , county, and state law enforcement may be requested to <br />assist with site security, perimeter control, facility access, isolation and quarantine orders, and <br />for the maintaining of order. <br />Region 7 Healthcare Coalition: Mutual Aid Agreement with partners in Okanogan, Grant, <br />Chelan, Douglas, and Kittitas County to provide mutual assistance during emergencies to include <br />personnel (includes Region 7 Epidemiologist), equipment (includes Alternate Care Facilities to <br />address surge capacity), materials, supplies, facilities, services, and/or related resources. <br />Was.hin ton State D e artmen t of Health OH : DOH will coordinate statewide emergency <br />planning and preparedness efforts and statewide surveillance activities. Samples collected by <br />KCPHD will be tested by the public health laboratory network operated by DOH . DOH will <br />coordinate with CDC and disseminate appropriate data and situation updates to KCPHD. DOH <br />will coordinate development and implementation of disease containment strategies across <br />multiple counties and regions within the state. DOH will supplement and support local effort to <br />educate and inform the public about public health emergencies and preventative measures. <br />VII.
