A27 VETERAN'S PREFERENCE <br />A27.1 <br />49 USC § 47112(c) <br />A27.2 <br />SOURCE <br />APPLICABILITY <br />Contract Types -This provision applies to all AIP funded projects that involve labor to carry out the <br />project. This preference, which excludes executive, administrative, and supervisory positions, applies to <br />covered veterans (as defined under§ 47112(c)) only when they are readily available and qualified to <br />accomplish the work required by the project. <br />Use of Provision -No mandatory text provided. The following language is acceptable to the FAA and <br />meets the intent of this requirement. lfthe sponsor uses different language, the sponsor's language <br />must fully satisfy the requirements of 49 USC§ 47112. <br />A27.3 CONTRACT CLAUSE <br />VETERAN'S PREFERENCE <br />In the employment of labor ( excluding executive, administrative, and supervisory positions), the <br />Contractor and all sub-tier contractors must give preference to covered veterans as defined within Title <br />49 United States Code Section 47112. Covered veterans include Vietnam-era veterans, Persian Gulf <br />veterans, Afghanistan-Iraq war veterans, disabled veterans, and small business concerns (as defined by <br />15 USC 632) owned and controlled by disabled veterans.
