We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kittitas County <br />(herein called the "Sponsor") on your Airport Aid grant award. <br />WHEREAS, the Sponsor has submitted to WSDOT Aviation an Airport Aid Application <br />(herein called the "Application") dated April 3, 2018, for a grant of state funds for a <br />project at or associated with Bowers Field (herein called the "Airport") which <br />Application, as approved by WSDOT Aviation, is hereby incorporated herein and made a <br />part hereof, and <br />WHEREAS, WSDOT Aviation has approved a project for the Airport (herein called the <br />"Project") consisting of the following: <br />➢ $16,604.00 — Environmental Assessment, and; <br />➢ $ 8,532.00 — Runway Break — Pavement Removal (Construction), including eligible <br />items as of May 1, 2018; all as more particularly described in the Application. <br />NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to and for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of <br />RCW 47.68.090, Aid to municipalities, Indian tribes, persons, and in consideration of (a) <br />the Sponsor's adoption and ratification of the representations and assurances contained in <br />said Application and its acceptance of this Offer as hereinafter provided, and (b) the <br />benefits to accrue to Washington State and the public from the accomplishment of the <br />Project and compliance with the assurances and conditions as herein provided, WSDOT <br />Aviation, for and on behalf of the State of Washington, hereby offers and agrees to pay, <br />as the state's share of the allowable costs incurred in accomplishing the Project, five (5) <br />percent of all allowable Project costs. <br />
