■ Prepare preliminary design alternatives and plans for grading improvements. Design will be <br />completed to meet the appropriate Aircraft Approach Category (AAC) and Airplane Design <br />Group (ADG) standards. <br />■ Prepare a demolition plan to depict civil and electrical items scheduled for removal. <br />■ The project manager and project engineer will make 1 site visit and inspection during the <br />survey. <br />■ Attend a 25% review meeting with County to discuss alternatives and cost. <br />The project manager and project engineer will attend the meeting. <br />■ Prepare summary of the preferred alternative and the associated <br />preliminary quantity and construction estimates for the project. <br />Solicit, receive, record and incorporate into the final form of the preliminary design <br />documents, all comments on preliminary design from the County and FAA. <br />Products: 25% Preliminary Design of the proposed improvements including site layout plan, grading <br />and drainage plan, and construction cost estimates for each project that includes quantities for each <br />construction material. This information will be utilized in the development of the proposed action <br />summary. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Proposed Action Summary <br />• Draft Purpose and Need Summary <br />TASK 3 — ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING AND COORDINATION <br />Task 3.1- Agency Meetings/Site Visits/Coordination <br />Objective: The objective of this task is to contact all local, state, and federal agencies that have formal <br />responsibility for the specific impact categories listed in Exhibit 4-1 of FAA Order 1050.11'. The <br />Consultant will conduct coordinated meetings with the County, FAA, and additional permitting <br />agencies as required. <br />Approach: It is assumed that the Consultant will attend four agency meetings. The following are the <br />assumptions of the two meetings with the agencies and participate in three conference calls: <br />■ One (1) meeting with FAA and the County. <br />■ One (1) meeting with the County. <br />■ Three (3) conference calls with the permitting agencies and the County, if required. <br />The Consultant will provide Agencies with an already assembled project description and project site <br />plan, identifying areas of potential impact and location of nearby natural resources. <br />Bowers Field Alrport Improvements EA <br />April 27, 2018 <br />
