The Property Owner will own and maintain the meter, meter register, and meter box in good <br />working order. <br />2. Upon expiration of the warranty period for a meter or meter register, the Owner is required to pay <br />any maintenance or replacement costs. <br />3. Upon sale of the property, the meter ownership will transfer to the new owner. <br />Technical Requirements- <br />Pilot Program Participants: <br />1. All new (as Jan. 19th, 2018) building permit applicants using groundwater as a water source for <br />the purpose of"domestic use" that is exempt from permitting under RCW 90.44.050. <br />2. The participant's dwelling\well must be within the area defined in the Legal Requirements <br />section of this document. <br />3. The participant must meet all County ordinances, policies, or administrative requirements. <br />Reimbursement of Expenditures: <br />The following costs will be reimbursed by Ecology during the entirety of the Pilot Project. <br />1. All meters must meet the accuracy standards set by the American Water Works Association <br />(A WW A) based on the type of meter selected. <br />2. All new meters must be of the single jet type capable of measuring flow rates in the range of <br />0 .0625 gpm to 30 gpm. <br />3. All new meters must meet or exceed the standards for single jet meters per the A WW A C7 l 2 <br />publication. <br />4. The meter manufacturer must be certified, or in process of being certified, as meeting ISO 9001 <br />2000 standards. <br />Electronic Register Specifications: <br />1. Battery life must be warranted in full for 10 years <br />2. All registers must be Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) compatible through industry-standard 3- <br />wire and 2-wire outputs. <br />3. All registers must read volume in gallons and flow rate in gallons per minute (gpm). <br />4. All registers must be compatible with existing installed meters (Badger). <br />5. All registers must have a data log interval between 5 and 60 minutes. <br />Version 8/29/16 <br />a . A small log interval (i.e., 5 minutes) is preferred in order to better capture peak flow <br />information and provide better leak detection resolution . <br />10
