Response 1: Project/Event Description * The Ellensburg Downtown Association (EDA) has been dedicated to downtown revitalization and preservation for many years . The EDA folloVvS the National Main Street Center 4-Point Approach to ensure that do1M1town Ellensburg continues to thrive moving toward the future. In order to continue to bring people to downtown the EDA V'X)rks on creating new, one of kind experiences for the visitors of Ellensburg. Comedy Craw IMII be a new event coming to do1M1town in 1Mnter of 2018. Currently, downtown Ellensburg doesn't host a comedy night, however, CWU hosts a comedian each fall and has a strong turnout suggesting this is a desired event. The EDA \MIi place 5-10 comedians throughout do1M1town in bars and restaurants for people to enjoy as they move location to location. We will work along-side the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce event, Winterhop Brewfest, to provide a Brewfest weekend kick off that encourages those coming into town for the event to arrive early and stay the night. Brewfest is a sold out event that has 1,700 attendees, 43% of which are from out of town (731 people). We estimate 600 people in attendance. Our main target audience is Brewfest attendees which we will reach through various methods of cross promotion, however we are still going to promote to young adults or empty nesters looking for weekend travel.
