BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING THAT ALL PUBLIC BOARDS, COMMITTEES AND <br />COMMISSIONS OF KITTITAS COUNTY BE CLERKED BY AN EMPLOYEE AND <br />CERTAIN FUNCTIONS PERFORMED BY SUCH EMPLOYEE <br />RESOLUTION No. 2018-1121 <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Records Management Committee has recommended to the <br />Board of County Commissioners that all Public Boards, Committees and Commissions under the <br />control of Kittitas County or its elected or appointed officials be clerked by a County employee <br />in order to simplify control of Records Management, and Public Records Act obligations and <br />compliance with those obligations; and <br />WHEREAS, Board of County Commissioners has accepted that recommendation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has also accepted the recommendation that all <br />communication with those Public Boards, Committees and Commissions be one way, from the <br />Clerk to the members; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has further accepted the recommendation that <br />members of those Public Boards, Committees and Commissions not send any email that is of <br />other than transitory (minimal retention value); and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOL VED that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington directs that all Public Boards, Committees and <br />Commissions under the control of Kittitas County or its elected or appointed officials be clerked <br />by a County employee; that all communication with those Public Boards, Committees and <br />Commissions be one way, from that Clerk to the members; that members of those Public Boards, <br />Committees and Commissions not send any email that is other than transitory (minimal retention <br />value) as defined by the Washington Secretary of State Local Government Records Retention <br />Schedules, and that the Clerk of each such Board, Committee and Commission shall be the <br />Records Officer and Public Records Officer of that entity.
