Kittitas County is currently authorized to expense $315,480 of said RATA funds for right of <br />way and the design. Kittitas County is anticipating the remaining $984,520 RATA funds for the <br />construction of the project to be authorized in 2020-2021. <br />Following this original request Kittitas County successfully secured Federal Funding through the <br />Local Bridge Program (BRAC). This success has resulted in Kittitas County requesting to reduce <br />our initial RATA fund ask and for authorization and advancement of RATA construction funds. <br />The BRAC program authorized funding in the amount of $2,746,970 with a 13.5% local match <br />requirement if the project is constructed prior to 2020 and a 20% local match requirement post <br />2020. <br />In anticipation of successfully securing Federal Funding, Kittitas County began the design and <br />right of way process utilizing RATA and Local funds Fall of2017 and is on track to advertise the <br />project March of 20 18 with construction completed November 2018. <br />Please accept this letter as the official request from Kittitas County to reduce our original RATA <br />fund request from $1,300,000 to $686,325 releasing the remaining funds to the Southeast Region <br />Array. This new request would allow Kittitas County to complete the design as scheduled and <br />fund the 13.5% local match requirement. <br />Additionally, Kittitas County is requesting that the remaining RATA funds $370,845 would be <br />authorized and advanced to quarter four, 2018 to align with our current construction schedule and <br />Federal Funding expenditure plan. <br />Kittitas County Courthouse' 205 West 5'" Avenue, STE 108 .
