Exhibit C
WORK PLAN
FY 2017 Emergency Management Performance Grant
Em erge ncy Managemenr Organ ization Kittitas CountY She riff's Office
The purpose of EMPG is to assist with the enhancement, sustainment and improvement of state, local, and tribal emergency management
programs. Activities conducted using EMPG funding shou Id relate directly to the five elements of emergency management: prevention,
protection, response, recovery, and mitigation. Washington State does not require a specific number of activities to receive EMPG fund ing.
However, there are required capabilities that must be sustained in order to remain eligible for EMPG funding, including but not limited to
the ability to communicate and warn, educate the public, train and exercise, plan, and be NIMS compliant. The Work Plan delineates the
Emergency Management Organization's emergency management program planning and priority focus for this grant cycle (to include
17EMPG grant and local funds).
Em ergency Ope rat ions Planning
W O RK PLANNED
1 Attend Em ergency Management trainine to
Include, Partners in Emergency Preparedness and
WSE MA
2 Con d uct NIMS/ICS training
3 Expa n d EOC Operations
-Purchase Emergency Operation Center supplies.
Th e focus of this activity is printing costs for
evacuation notices, dry erase boards/marks,
sie:nage for EOC positions, etc.
4 Pu rChase the Apollo .application and Runtime
licensing
Program Area #2
PI! bl.it Outreach
WHY THE WORK IS BEING DONE
Attrition i n personnel, n ew hlri ng,_an d f urther
education of Emergency Operations staff is a
cen t lnuel process.
