BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />/j L.1 RESOLUTION NO. 2017 -I,;J f <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE INTERAGENCY <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL IDGHW AY ADMINISTRATION <br />WESTERN FEDERAL LANDS DIVISION FOR THE FUNDING OF THE <br />TEANA WAY ROAD HYDRAULIC IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: Resolution number 2014 -114 approved the application for funding from <br />the Washington Federal Lands Access Program for the Teanaway Road <br />Hydraulics Improvements; and <br />WHEREAS: Resolution number 2016 -025 accepted Federal Highway Administration <br />(FHW A) Federal Lands Access Program funding for the Teanaway Road <br />Hydraulic Improvements in the amount of$2,432,074; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works successfully negotiated a change in the scope and delivery <br />of the project with FHW A to allow the design and construction <br />administration to be performed by Public Works and to change the project <br />improvement locations in a manner that better aligns with County Road <br />priorities and fish passage priorities as identified by the Washington State <br />Department of Fish and Wildlife; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has executed the Memorandum of Agreement with FHW A <br />for said project with a new project cost of $2,440,221 with the County <br />responsible for $329,430 in match funds; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works and the Prosecuting Attorney's office have reviewed the <br />Interagency Agreement provided by FHW A for the reimbursement of <br />funds for the Teanaway Road Hydraulic Improvements project; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature <br />on the Interagency Agreement for the funding of the Teanaway Road <br />Hydraulic Improvements project.
