Fi.rm size -Given the county's growth concerns and labor market trends, targeting efforts are <br />likely to be most successful with firm sizes under 50 employees <br />Energy usage -Because of the county's competitive situation) energy usage is another factor <br />that can be used to refine targeting efforts. Non-energy intensive industries include metal-based <br />durables, fabricated metals, machinery, computers and electronics, transportation equipment <br />electrical equipment and wood products. <br />Site requirements -Land consumption patterns should also be considered. <br />4.16 -Increase local skills training options <br />Explore opportunities to increase the availability of skills training locally. This should be done in <br />conjunction with the SOUtll Central Washington Workforce Council, WorkSource and Central <br />Washington University and should be aljgned with needs oflocal business. <br />Longer-tenn strategies could include bringing additional programs and resources to the Yakima <br />Valley Community College satellite campus in the Kittitas County
