A few people <br />noted that this concept would be easier for snow removal. <br />• 45 degree parking was preferred because of the increased parking and larger trees. People thought the <br />addition of larger trees would create a more welcoming atmosphere. <br />• Many expressed that either layout would be an improvement to the existing condition of downtown. <br />Site Furnishing <br />• Overall, people preferred to keep the historic feeling. <br />•• Many liked the combination of the historic and pillar furnishings. <br />• Leisure was often chosen because they want to enhance the relaxing atmosphere. <br />• Light pollution was a concern. Downlighting is important in maintaining Cle Elum's clear night sky. <br />• It was suggested that bike racks be added to the site furnishing concepts. <br />• People like the idea of a banner over 1st Street to advertise events. <br />• It is important that the look of the planter is easy to differentiate from the litter receptacles. <br />• People would like designated spaces for art opportunities. <br />• Irrigation to baskets and trees needs to be provided. <br />• Wind and other extreme weather should be considered when choosing location of site furnishings <br />JUNE 27 I 2017 <br />/.
