Purpose <br />Environmental Health (EH) refers to the ability to reduce the risk of human contact with <br />environmental public health hazards in the event of an emergency. Reducing exposure risk pertains <br />to hazards such as contaminated food, air, water, solid waste, hazardous materials, and vectors <br />associated with exposure to infectious diseases, bacteria and pathogens. <br />II. Planning Assumptions <br />Based on the Kittitas County Hazard Identification and Vulnerability Assessment (HN A), EH <br />response will most frequently address incidents involving flooding and wildfires.
