BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO . ZO/7-O~ d- <br />RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH <br />ASPHALT MATERIALS FOR 2017 <br />WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was approved and signed on February 7,2017, to <br />furnish Asphalt Materials for 2017; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on February 23,2017, at 2:00 p .m. in the Kittitas <br />County Public Works and two (2) bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS : The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bids of Granite <br />Construction Company and Interstate Concrete and Asphalt dba Columbia <br />Ready Mix, Inc . be accepted for Schedules "A" and "B" to ensure availability of <br />product; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2017 Asphalt Materials Schedules "A" and <br />"B" to Granite Construction Company and Interstate Concrete and Asphalt dba Columbia Ready <br />Mix Inc. to ensure availability of product, upon such terms and conditions as specified in the <br />Proposal submitted by said bidder(s). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the <br />contract documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said <br />bidder(s). <br />DATED this 7th day of March, 2017, at Ellensburg, Washington . <br />Attest: <br />~ Clerk of the Board-Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KI COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiad a ,c e-Chairman <br />\ o~~
