Kittitas County -Local 792 <br />January 1, 2016 -December 31, 2018 <br />10.6 Copies of disciplinary action, including notations of verbal reprimands, taken by the Employer <br />shall be forwarded to the Staff Representative, and placed in the personnel file. <br />10.7 Reprimands shall remain in the personnel file for a period of twenty-four (24) months at which <br />time the employee may request the written reprimand be removed. The decision on removal shall be <br />at the discretion of the Employer. <br />10.8 Any disciplinary document placed in the personnel file shall be initialed by the employee. The <br />employee's initials are not an admission of guilt or wrong doing, but verification that he/she has seen it <br />and it is the document that was placed in the file. <br />10.9 The employee shall be allowed an opportunity to respond to the disciplinary action, in writing, <br />and the employee's response shall be included in the personnel file. <br />10.10 Each employee shall be allowed access to his/her official personnel file for review of its content. <br />The employee's official personnel file will be maintained and located in the Human Resource Office. <br />ARTICLE XI-HOLIDAYS <br />11.1 The following legal paid holidays shall be recognized : <br />New Years' Day <br />Martin Luther King's Birthday <br />President's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Veteran's Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Day After Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Day <br />First Day in January <br />Third Monday in January (Solid Waste Only) <br />Third Monday in February (Solid Waste Only) <br />Last Monday in May <br />Fourth of July <br />First Monday in September <br />11th Day of November <br />Fourth Thursday of November <br />Fourth Friday of November <br />December 25th <br />For Public Works employees, each employee may select three (3) days which the employee desires to <br />take as "Personal Holidays" providing it meets the approval of the immediate supervisor. For Solid <br />Waste employees, each employee may select one (1) day which the employee desires to take as <br />"Personal Holiday" providing it meets the approval ofthe immediate supervisor. <br />Personal holidays must be used by December 31 st or lost. Employees are not eligible for a Personal <br />Holiday during the probationary period. Personal Holidays must be taken as a full day off. <br />Whenever a legal holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the holiday and <br />whenever such holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as the holiday. <br />11.2 Any employee required to work on a paid holiday shall be compensated at the rate of one and <br />one-half (1-1/2) times the normal rate, in addition to the holiday pay the employee would be entitled to <br />if no work was performed. <br />10
