UPPER KITTTAS COUNTY TRANSPORTATION SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN HOPE SOURCE AND KITTITAS COUNTY <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made by and between KITTITAS COUNTY, a political <br />subdivision of the State of Washington, hereinafter referred to as "the County," and <br />HOPE SOURCE, a non-profit organization established under the laws of the State of Washington, <br />with principal offices located at 700 East Mountain View, Suite 501, Ellensburg, Washington. <br />1. PURPOSE AND SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED. The purpose of this Agreement is to <br />meet an existing need for services to senior citizens in the form of referral and <br />transportation services, which needs are not currently being fully met in the County, but <br />which can be met by HopeSource through its Upper County Senior Services and <br />Transportation Office, with financial assistance from the County. <br />a. The County enters into this Agreement pursuant to the authority of Article 8, <br />Section 7 of the Washington State Constitution, RCW 36.39.060 and RCW <br />36.01.010, to provide and to delegate the provision of such services. <br />b. In consideration of HopeSource providing such services, the County agrees to pay <br />HopeSource the sum ofTen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($10,500.00), payable <br />as one lump sum payment at the end of the second quarter of 20 17. The County <br />agrees to make such payment within 30 (thirty) days of the end of the second <br />quarter. <br />c. The parties agree that the funds provided by the County are not the total funding for <br />the Upper County Senior Services and Transportation Office and that HopeSource <br />has other resources which it will use in providing the services. <br />d. In return for funding assistance from the County, HopeSource will provide the <br />following services: <br />1. Respond to requests for information and make referrals to appropriate <br />agencies in the Upper Kittitas County; and <br />11. Schedule and arrange transportation to senior meal sites, doctor <br />appointments, and shopping in the Upper Kittitas County and serve as a <br />contact to arrange other medically related transportation that cannot be <br />accommodated by HopeSource's van service. <br />2. TERMS OF AGREEMENT. <br />a. Term.
