For each twelve (12) months of service the employee will advance one <br />step. For the purpose of step increases, the anniversary date shall be the date the employee <br />started their current position (the "position date"). For anniversary dates occurring between <br />the 1st and 15 th day of the month, any step increase will be effective on the first day of that <br />month; for anniversary dates occurring between the 16th and final day of the month, any step <br />increase will be effective on the first day of the next month. <br />Retroactive payment of wages will be limited to those members of the bargaining unit <br />employed by the County as of the date of signing this agreement. <br />Kittitas County Corrections Contract -01/01/16 -12/31/18 Page 33
