Attachment F <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />ST ATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO,': 2016· DILl <br />IN THE MA ITER OF APPROVAL OF THE KITTITAS" VAKIMA COUNTIES <br />COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC DEVEWPMENT STRATEGY. <br />WIIEREAS; Kittitas County and Yakima County and its public and private partners want to <br />strengthen and diversify the regional economy; <br />WHEREAS; developing a Comprehensive Economic Developme~t Strategy (eEDS) for the <br />region will help marshal resources and drive effective partnerships; <br />WHEREAS; a CEOS will also help the region gain attention and support tor specific projects with the <br />Federal Eeonomic Development Admjnjstration~ <br />WHEREAS; the two county CROS will be driven by a broadly representative local steering <br />committee: <br />WHEREAS: several public: forums will be held to generate input and interest in the eEDS plan; <br />WHEREAS: an extensive outreach process will be administered to specifically request that <br />interested jurisdictions and eligible nonprofit associations submit economic development <br />projects for prioritization and inclusion within the eEOS; <br />WHEREAS: the eEOS plan will help reestablish a two county Economic Development District <br />that can help implement this important plan; and <br />WHEREAS: it is beneficial to maintain the CEI>S so that the Economic Development <br />Administration (EDA) can consider economic investments within our region; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners adopts <br />the fonowing document (attachment A) as the final CEDS plan for 2016 -2019. <br />DATED this 19th day of January, 20 (6 at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KJ'ITlT AS COUNTY, W ASU.NGTON (~)b· ~~C·b . ~ ~ <br />1~.,.."lt[Jen, mrman
