BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2016-18 ~ <br />RESOLUTION A WARDING FUNDING FOR GRANTS PURSUANT TO LAW AND <br />JUSTICE COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS ON SPENDING OF 1I10TH OF 1% SALES <br />TAX RESERVES <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Law and Justice Council met at their regularly scheduled <br />meeting on September 21, 2016, and voted unanimously for the below described funding <br />recommendations; and <br />WHEREAS: These expenditures shall be made from the 1110 111 of 1 % sales tax reserve account <br />established by the Board of County Commissioners for spending on special <br />projects to foster cooperation, sharing of resources and enhancement of criminal <br />justice projects within Kittitas County; and <br />WHEREAS: Funding is to be made available January 1, 2017 except where noted as available <br />upon approval of this resolution; and <br />WHEREAS: The amount available for 2017 grants is approximately $30,000.00; Estimated <br />balance in the grant funds is approximately $91,600.00 after 2016 Grant <br />obligations and maintaining $30,000.00 in reserve for the Range Project. The <br />following grants are recommended for approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED: That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners <br />hereby adopts the following funding recommendations as made by the Kittitas County Law and <br />Justice Council and these expenditures shall be made from the 1/10 1h of 1 % sales tax reserve <br />account. <br />17-1 Youth Services-Kittitas County <br />Operational expenses <br />17-3 Prosecutor's Office <br />Facilities dog <br />17-4 CASA <br />CASA Training and support <br />17-5 City of Roslyn <br />Pedestrian Warning signs <br />17-6 Cascade Field & Stream <br />Range road work <br />17-7 Upper District Court <br />LCD Projector <br />$5,000.00 <br />$3,100.00 <br />$2,600.00 <br />$ 870.34 <br />$3,000.00 <br />$1,341.99
