Kittitas County, Washington <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />May 17,2016 <br />Deanna Muller <br />C/O BuDu Racing <br />31405 4th Ave South <br />Auburn, WA 98001 <br />District One <br />Paul Jewell <br />District Two <br />Laura Osiadacz <br />District Three <br />Obie O 'Brien <br />Re: Special Event Request -2016 Ellensburg Olympic and Sprint Triathlon, including the <br />Carey Lakes 10K and SK Runs, (July 23, 2016). <br />Dear Ms. Muller, <br />I am pleased to inform you that the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners approved <br />your request to hold the 2016 Ellensburg Olympic and Sprint Triathlon, including the Carey <br />Lakes 10K and 5K Runs, (July 23, 2016). <br />The Board of County Commissioners also granted a waiver to Kittitas County Code Chapter <br />5.20.100 (Penal Bond-Bond of Indemnity) and 5.20.160 (Closing Hours) since your event is <br />scheduled to be open before 7:00 a.m., (6:00 a.m.-staging). <br />The Board of County Commissioners approved your event conditioned upon you complying with <br />the recommendations made by the Kittitas County Public Works Department & Kittitas County <br />Public Health. I have enclosed their memos for your review. <br />I have enclosed a copy of Kittitas County Code Chapter 5.20 (Event Permits) and according to <br />Chapter 5.20.110 (Posting), a copy of this information needs to be kept posted in a conspicuous <br />place where your event is being held. <br />To summarize I am including for you the new Admissions Tax info., (for questions contact the <br />County Treasurer or the County Auditor's Office -Judy Pless) and Ordinance; Department <br />memo's; Ordinance 2009-22, as well as KCC 5·20 & 9-45. <br />If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
